Details

Sundays at the V&A (even in some holidays) are handed over to you and your kids. There are creative activities that evolve from hunting for ideas in the galleries and then culminating in designing and making anything from a fantasy door to a fancy hat.

Materials are provided back in the Lunchroom in the Sackler Centre, such as fabric swatches, colourful card, tin foil and funky foam.

Fancy Fashion is an example - how would you accessorise your favourite V&A outfit? Past results have included a giant funky foam mug and a teapot with three spouts; one for hot chocolate, one for ice-cream and one for builders brew tea!

For those who want to dress up, there are fancy fashions around the museum - such as the outfits in Theatre and Performance, which are very popular as they are next door to Kylie's "Showgirl" tour dressing room - a reconstruction, of course!

This weekly event is free and drop-in from 10.30am to 5pm.
