Covering 275 acres with magnificent avenues of trees and flowerbeds this wonderful park is a great place to spend a day with the family.

It is also home to the Princess of Wales' Memorial Playground that was inspired by the stories of Peter Pan. With a large wooden pirate ship as its centrepiece this is a great place for children up to the age of 12 to play. The playground has different opening hours through out the year so check the website for details. There is also the Peter Pan statue that was donated by the Peter Pan author J M barrie and the Round Pond which is popular for sailing model boats. The playground has recently been refurbished to include a play tunnel, timber pergola.

There are cycle paths through the park and a number of tours and events for children are held throughout the year, check the website for more details.

Refreshments are available at a number of places in the park including the Diana Playground Café.

The park is open from 6am to dusk all year round.
