Details

A great museum for children that is situated right in the heart of Covent Garden on the site of the old flower market. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment with exhibits dating from the early 1800's to the modern day, documenting the citys ever changing transport system. These include the worlds first underground steam and electric railways. There is also a great collection of transport posters, with ever friendly staff always willing to be of help, a great museum with something for all the family.

They also have a great website where you can see a collection of old transport films, a detailed description of all exhibits and listings of any special events that are on.

With Covent Garden right outside this is a great place to start a family day out before wandering around and watching the street performers.
