The recently refurbished Hunterian Museum has been a source of inspiration to people in the medical world for over hundred years and is now a very accessible museum that encourages its visitors to explore its unique collection of skeletons, skulls, medical equipment and more that has been accumulated over the last 400 years. This is a great place to bring inquisitive children!!!

There are also paintings, drawings and sculptures so bring the family down to be inspired.



Opening Hours

Open: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm Closed: Good Friday, Easter Weekend and Christmas-New Year

Is food available and what type?

Staff cafeteria open to individual visitors, Tuesday-Friday 10am-2.30pm Hot and cold meals eat in/take away 12-2pm. Coffee, tea and snacks available during opening hours.

What baby facilties are available?

Baby changing facilities available in the female public lavatories on the ground floor and basement level.
