Wandsworth Museum uncovers the rich history of the Borough of Wandsworth, as we know it today, over the past 25,000 years, with it's exhibitions and objects charting the story of how the area has developed over the centuries up to the present day.

The museum itself has gone through some major development recently as it has been transformed into a state-of-the-art museum and gallery - the team made sure that the new improved museum would be one of sustainability, thus setting a wonderful example to all those who visit. As a result the building can run at the most efficient and lowest costs possible.

Under such a grand new roof the museum has regular family friendly workshops and also, has been known to join forces with local creative events - such as the Construction Gallery and it's pop-up creative extravaganzas.

However, the museum is a private charity, which relies greatly on its supporters - it was created with the support of the Hintze Family Charitable Foundation, the Friends of Wandsworth Museum and the Wandsworth Borough Council. With no direct support from governmental funding bodies, it is the people who visit, and the local community, that the museum relies upon.

Admission 4 (3 concession. Free for children under 6 and Friends of Wandsworth Museum).

Visitors purchasing full price tickets also receive 1 off entry to the De Morgan Centre (www.demorgan.org.uk), located in the museum building .
