Previously known as the Lea Valley Experience, the Pumphouse Museum is currently being transformed into London?s new steam and transport museum and is hoping to be fully operatioinal by the end of 2012. You can however still visit and have a look around some of the great old vehicles they have, a must for any youngster (or parent) who has an interest in engines.

The project is base around the Grade II listed Low Hall Victorian Pumping Station and its rare Marshall C class steam engines.


Entrance charges may apply on all the above days: Adults 2.00, OAPS 1.00 Young children free admission, but must be accompanied by an audit of over 16 years of age.

Opening Hours

The Museum is open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Wednesday and Thursday by appointment only. Ideal days for schools and group visits. To book please contact us by email or phone
