The Ragged School Museum offers an extraordinary glimpse into the lives of the Victorian poor. Situated in the largest 'ragged school' in London, the museum tells the story of the live of the destitute children living in the Victorian East End and the extraordinary work done by philanthropists such as Dr Barnardo.

Opening Hours

The museum is open for school and group bookings The museum is open for Schools and Group bookings Monday to Friday Victorian teacher with school group(during term time).

We welcome other visitors between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. each Wednesday and Thursday, and between 2pm and 5pm on the first Sunday of each month. No booking is necessary.

Cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.

What baby facilties are available?

Baby changing facility. Soft play area.

Limited step-free access (ground floor only).
