West Ham Park

Edward Temme Avenue

go to website

Owned and maintained by the Corporation of London since 1874, at 77 acres this is the largest park in the London Borough of Newham.

The seven acre ornamental garden provides a variety of horticultural delights, while out in the park a wide range of recreational activities are available throughout the year. There are sports, guided walks and bandstand concerts in late summer.
This is one of very few parks in the country with its own nursery. It supplies over 200 species of plant for displays both here and in a number of other open spaces in London.

There are plenty of attractions for children including a playground and an adventure playground. In the summer there are bouncy castles and play schemes with supervised activities, as well as children's entertainers such as jugglers and clowns.

The park's rich and diverse history was recognised when it was listed as a Grade II site on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Specific Historic Interest in England.
West Ham Park was also a 2006/2007 Green Flag Award winner.
