London Ice Rinks

If you want a festive day out, even in the peak of summer, take the family to your nearest ice rink to glide gracefully over the glassy ice. Or to cling desperately to the side, if that's more your style. Our guide covers both permanent ice rinks in London and some of the seasonal ice rinks in the capital which offer open-air ice skating in the winter months.

A few words of advice: Skate hire is generally included in your session ticket (the guides below will tell you if it's extra) though most rinks will also let you use your own skates if you've got them. Make sure you all wrap up warm, and remember that you will be responsible for your kids on the rink - it's up to you to judge their skating capabilities.
