The oldest of the Royal Parks and covering 183 acres this wonderful park also hosts the Prime Meridian Line and Royal Observatory as well as being right next to the National Maritime Museum, this is a great place for the whole family. There is a playground for the kids and children, boating lake, tennis courts and the view from the top of the hill over London is simply breathtaking.

The Wilderness Deer Park is a large piece of grassland that serves as a wildlife sanctuary with foxes, birds and deer is also worth a visit.

You are also right next to Greenwich itself that has a weekend market and any number of places to eat.

he park is open from 6.00am for pedestrians (and 7.00am for traffic) all year round. Closing times vary depending on the season, a document giving specific closing times can be downloaded from the web site
