King William Walk
go to website

Greenwich Park covers 73 hectares (183 acres) and is the oldest enclosed Royal Park. It is situated on a hilltop with impressive, panoramic views across the River Thames to Docklands and the City of London.

The park provides a setting for several historic buildings, including the Old Royal Observatory, the Royal Naval College, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House.

In 1662 Charles II landscaped the park in a style inspired by the French gardener, Andr√?¬© le Notre, who planned the gardens of the Palace of Versailles.

Today you can climb the steep hill that divides the north and south of the park or visit the flower gardens, cafe, children's boating lake and playground.
