City Farms in London

Providing a small glimpse of country life in an urban surrounding, the various city farms around London are a fun and educational day out for the whole family. Most of the farms are free with affordable food available, and if the weather is good, a picnic and play area to have your lunch. Many also have a shop selling fresh farm produce as well. The people who run the farms are always knowledgable and approachable if you have any questions and there are normally information boards with details about the various animals.

The farms vary in size from the small like Stepping Stones farm to the larger ones like Mudchute, which has lovely large fields for kids and children to play around in, surrounded by the sky scrapers of Canary Wharf.
