Details

One of the few residential houses of the 18th century still surviving in the city, it was the home and workplace for Samuel Johnson, and the birthplace of the first comprehensive English Dictionary.

Children can dress up in 18th-century children's costumes and there is a free children's guide to the house with family activities.

Price

Admission is £4.50 for adults, £3.50 for concessions, £1.50 for children and £10 for families.

Opening Hours

Open Monday - Saturday 11:00 - 17:30.
