Details

Totteridge Fields and its surrounds are a beautiful place for a spring or summer walk.

Ancient hay meadows are criss-crossed by hawthorn and blackthorn hedgerows, bright with blossom in spring; these provide excellent nesting and feeding sites for birds.
The fields are a riot of colour in the summer when grasses and flowers, including meadow-sweet, hardheads and buttercups, bloom. Butterflies are abundant and sedges occur in the ditches that provide valuable shelter for amphibians.

The three fields on the corner of Hendon Wood Lane are managed by the London Wildlife Trust.
