Dollis Hill Lane

Gladstone Park evolved from the Dollis Hill Estate and became a public park at the turn of the 20th century.

Initially the park was to be called Dollis Hill Park, but its associations with Sir William Gladstone were so strong that it was decided to name the park after the former Liberal Prime Minister. The park opened in May 1901 and many of its features date from that time, including the fine tree lined avenues. The park's main use is recreational with some sporting facilities to the south of the area.

The Gladstone Park Consultative Committee (GPCC) is actively involved in the park's management. In 2003/04, Gladstone Park underwent a Heritage Lottery refurbishment programme to restore many of its features and facilities.
