London boasts a large selection of Soft Play areas that are great for kids and parents alike. A chance for the kids to run around and wear themselves out and for parents to sit down and have a coffee. The following is a list of great soft play and indoor adventure centres in London.
- Clown Town – North Finchley – N12
One of Londons largest soft plays with a large selection of play activities including ball ponds, slides, go karts and much more that should guarantee your kids a good day out. Free sessions are available at off peak times and there is also a nice cafe that serves drinks and hot snacks. Judging by the large number of positive reviews we get this is a very popular place.
- Kids Korner – Epping Forest
Situated in Epping Forest this is a popular soft play that also has an indoor go-kart track and a great outdoor playground for the warmer weather. The main play area has two large slides, ball pond and a number of tube tunnels for kids to climb through. There is also a smaller play area for toddlers.
- Tumble in the Jungle – Walthamstow – E17
A great community based play area that run a number of activities and themed days throughout the year. Staff are very intearctive with the kids and there is also a great sensory room and a cafe that serves very healthy and affordable food. Highly recommended.
- Gambado Chelsea
With over 100 activities including dodgems, climbing wall and obstacle courses this is one of Londons premier sodt plays. Not the cheapest but a great place to take the kids for a treat.
- Kids Zone – National Army Museum – SW3
Located in the National Army Museum this serves as a great place for parents to take a break while the kids have a run around. Sessions must be pre-booked on line and last for 1 hour. See our blog post about Kids Zone and the National Army Museum.
- The Fire House Play Centre
Fire station themed soft play that also has a great giant slide that parents seem to enjoy as much as the children. They also run a creche and have a daycare facility. Lunches are available at the Firehouse Grill that serves a good selection of freshly cooked food.
- Eddie Catz Wimbledon – Wimbledon
With two play areas, one for toddlers with bouncy castles, chairs and kidiie rides, and one for kids aged 3 to 12 with a huge play frame, air hockey and video games this will delight the kids while you grab yourself a coffee and surf the net. They also run a number of activities, workshops and after school clubs throughout the year.
- Bramley’s Big Adventure – North Kensington – W10
Indoor adventure playground for children up to 11 years of age. Situated under the Westway flyover there is a giant play area with slides, swings and a spooky den!!! There is also and under 5′s and baby area.
- Kidz Adventure Zone – Wood Green
Offering ‘Exciting, Stimulating and Friendly Play’ for kids up to the age of 12 this is a very popular play area that is Ofsted registered and runs an after school club. It is a complex of thrilling slides and stimulating challenges and there’s a separate baby and toddler areas for safe play for younger children. Hot and cold snacks are available at Kaz Cafe.
- Mudlarks Soft Play – Isle of Dogs – E14
Interactive play area for kids and toddlers up to the age of 5 at the Museum of London Docklands. It contains a number of zones designed with different play activities where children can let off steam and also learn about the history of London’s Docklands.
