Taking the kids ice skating at any of the seasonal outdoor rinks in London is great day out especially in the surroundings offered by Somerset House and Hampton Court but at a cost of around £40 per family I would hardly call this a cheap day out.
There is currently an offer with the Daily Mail where you get a free child ticket for every adult ticket, there are restrictions so check out the small print but is seems to be valid between Monday – Friday and 10am – 10pm at most rinks on dates in December and January.
