Situated in the centre of the island, it makes a great base to explore some of its hidden corners. Lloseta is a place of contrasts. Just minutes away from two major towns it is one of the least explored and laid back spots in the area. Whilst it is a typical Majorcan village steeped in agricultural tradition, it is also the home of Mallorcas paving, stone and cement industry and the world famous Bestard walking boot company. Despite its sleepy atmosphere it manages to give a home to two famed restaurants d’auteur and a state of the art ultra-modern theatre, home to the Alternatilla music and arts festival every year. It is well connected by bus and train, journey time to Palma is half an hour and is well placed for visiting the inland villages of Majorca such as Santa María with its fabulous Sunday market or Binissalem, famous for its wine cellars. Inca, a very important market town and home to numerous leather goods manufacturers is just a few minutes away, a haven for bargain hunters. Lloseta represents many of the facets of the hidden Majorca. This is where the real Majorca is to be found.
